About Us
Who We Are
At Ole Glory Warriors Retreat, we are dedicated to providing a sanctuary for our nation’s veterans and their families. Located on Lake Jodeco in Jonesboro, Georgia, our newly constructed lakefront home offers a peaceful and tranquil environment where veterans can escape the stresses of daily life, reconnect with loved ones, and find solace in nature.
Ole Glory Warriors Retreat was founded by David Lighten Jr., a Disabled Gulf War Veteran who has dedicated his life to serving others. After a distinguished career in the U.S. Navy and 25 years as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer with the Department of Homeland Security, David was inspired to create a retreat that offers veterans a place to heal, reflect, and find peace. His personal experiences as a veteran give him a deep understanding of the challenges faced by those who have served, and his commitment to supporting his fellow veterans is at the heart of everything we do.
